First introduced in the 1950s, the Fluted Cake Pan was in the Lodge line for over 40 years. It was a customer favorite at holidays and celebrations of every kind. We’ve decided to bring back this historic pan with a few enhancements for the modern-day baker.
Cast iron is a group of iron-carbon alloys with a carbon content greater than 2%.
Cast-iron cookware is valued for its heat retention properties and can be produced and formed with a relatively low level of technology.
Seasoning is used to protect bare cast iron from rust and to create a non-stick surface.
A well-seasoned cast-iron skillet is naturally non-stick. Unlike other non-stick cookware, cast-iron pots and pans aren’t coated with synthetic (and potentially harmful) materials.
Cast iron cookware is made to last multiple lifetimes and even old and worn pieces can be easily refurbished.
